Summer's Gift
Summer doesn't give you anything new. It gives back what was always yours. Rest, curiosity, pace, blue sky thinking — these aren't vacation luxuries. They're the conditions great teachers need all year. This post is a gentle argument for why what summer restores is worth protecting — and how a learning community makes that possible long after August ends.

Noticing
A year into leaving the classroom, here's what I've learned: no one does anything worthwhile alone. This summer, I'm noticing it everywhere — on playgrounds, in restaurants, at airports. Systems that hum without a director. Communities that form without a memo. If it's true out there in the world... why are so many teachers still trying to do it alone in their classrooms?
